Mint Chip Ice Cream

Mint Chip Ice Cream

You don’t need to be Irish, and you don’t even need to be lucky to make and serve this brilliant Mint Chiffon Chocolate Chip Ice Cream for St Paddy’s day (or any day for that matter).

Our Mint Chip Ice Cream is a green mint flavored ice cream, chock full of chocolate chunks. This recipe is a great addition to your St. Patrick’s Day promotional menu, or a year-round flavor!

The Dippin’ Flavors Green Mint Chiffon Base is easy to use in more than one ice cream creation, all using just one base.

AmountIngredients
2.5 gallonsIce Cream Mix
32 fl. oz.Green Mint Chiffon Base | ZDF056
15 fl. oz.Liquid Chocolate Chip Mix | ZDF028
20 oz.Chocolate Flakes | ZBB600 (alternative product)
Instructions:Preheat the Chocolate Chip Mix to 95-105° F. prior to use.

Add the Mint Chiffon Base to the ice cream mix in the freezer and freeze.

As the ice cream is being filled into the containers, add liquid Chocolate Chip Mix to the ice cream, turning the container occasionally to achieve uniform distribution of the ice cream and the chips.

Vigorous stirring creates smaller chips, less stirring creates larger and fewer chips.

A three-gallon container of ice cream requires 9 fluid ounces of Chocolate Chip Mix.

NOTE: Chocolate Flav-R-Flakes can be used as an alternative to Liquid Chocolate chip mix. Chocolate Flakes do not need to be warmed and can be sprinkled directly into the ice cream as it is being filled into containers.
